My name is Matthew Gang and I had suffered with Crohns and Colitis for 10 years. In 2019 my colon became pre-cancerous, and I had no option but to undergo a full colectomy at 30 years of age. Over the course of 4 surgeries, 25 days in the hospital, and 8 months of recovery I knew I needed to create and develop a product to address and alleviate all the difficulties ostomy patients experience, post-surgery. Regular changes of my ostomy appliance were messy, time consuming, and frustrating. I knew there had to be a better way to normalize and shorten the process from 15 minutes to just seconds. That' s why I am proud and excited to share Ostomee with you!
